From Kotler Generation
to Journalism
ALL ABOUT ME

Riccardo Tomesani has traveled the world from Beijing to Buenos Aires, from Los Angeles to Jakarta, and speaks fluent English, French, and Spanish. He grew up immersed in Marketing, in an atheist and socialist family, where the only sacred text was Marketing Management by Philip Kotler, being the son of Giorgio Tomesani, historical director of major Beverage brands (Wuhrer, Fernet Branca, Punt e Mes Carpano). Riccardo started working before obtaining his first degree in Political Science (second degree in Law) as Assistant P.M., then Junior P.M. at the Marketing Department of Manitoba S.p.A. (Bolton Group). During his corporate experience, he acquired skills in operational marketing (new product launches, TV and print advertising, press releases, promotions to the trade and consumer), working with prestigious agencies such as McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi. In pure communication, he began as an apprentice in Carla Nani Mocenigo's agency, the epitome of P.R. From 2020 to 2022, he worked in the Political Secretariat of the Cultural Assessor of the Lombardy Region, managing relationships with other public, local, and national institutions, organizing events and conferences of cultural interest, also dealing with communication, coordinating internal resources and the designated agency, with continuous control of Media outputs. Always passionate about journalism, he has been writing since university for various publications (later passing the exam to become a Professional Journalist): Corriere dell'Adda, Gente, Grazia, Il Venerdì di Repubblica, Libero, Panorama, Panorama online, Economy, l’Espresso online, Class, Nuova Cronaca. He considers a professional satisfaction having interviewed the South African writer Nadine Gordimer, Nobel Prize for Literature in 1991, for Class. He collaborates with Il Giornale d’Italia, writing articles on economics, politics, and culture.
